My love for flowers began long before Velora. Growing up in Puerto Rico, I was surrounded by their color, beauty, and warmth. They became part of the way I understood love, celebration, and home.

Years later, my childhood best friend asked me to create the flowers for her engagement party. I said yes without realizing that one moment would change the direction of my life — what began as a favor quickly became a creative calling I could not ignore.

I created Velora with one heartfelt belief: flowers should make people feel something.

Philosophy

Flowers should make people feel something.

Loved, celebrated, comforted, remembered, or simply seen. Every arrangement is created with intention — from the flowers and palette to the ribbon, vessel, and smallest finishing detail. Nothing is chosen just because it is beautiful; it is chosen because it helps tell a story. Flowers may not last forever, but the feeling they leave behind can.

How far in advance should I inquire?

The earlier the better — stems are selected and arranged by hand in the days before your date. Share your event date in the inquiry and we will confirm availability when we respond, within two business days.

Does Velora offer a flower subscription or membership?

Yes. The Velora Social, our flower subscription membership, opens this October with three delivery rhythms: The Collective (once a month), The Signature (every 14 days), and The Icon (every 7 days), for Washington, D.C.; Montgomery County, Maryland; and Northern Virginia (Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, plus Alexandria, Fairfax City and Falls Church).
